Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 25, 2026

1. Introduction

OpenClawSensei ("the Service"), accessible at openclaw-sensei.com, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • X (Twitter) Handle: Provided during registration to verify account ownership.
  • Verification Tweet: A unique AI-generated phrase you tweet to confirm your identity.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Twitter/X Public Data: When you mention @OpenClawSensei on a thread, we fetch publicly available tweet content and author information from that thread via the X API.
  • Authentication Tokens: We generate and store a hashed version of your CLI authentication token. We never store the plaintext token after it is issued to you.
  • Usage Data: We may collect basic usage analytics such as skill installs and page visits.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Account Verification: Your X handle and verification tweet are used solely to confirm account ownership.
  • Skill Generation: Public tweet content is processed by AI to generate OpenClaw skills. Generated skills are cached to avoid redundant processing.
  • Skill Delivery: Your user ID is used to queue skill installations for your CLI daemon.
  • Bot Interactions: We process mentions and follower data to reply to users and send onboarding DMs on X.
  • Service Improvement: Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be used to improve the Service.

4. Data Storage

We use Upstash Redis (a serverless Redis provider) to store user records, cached skills, and installation queues. Data is stored securely and accessed only over encrypted connections (TLS). Authentication tokens are stored as one-way hashes and cannot be reversed.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Anthropic (Claude AI): Public tweet content is sent to Claude for skill generation. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to that processing.
  • X (Twitter) API: We interact with the X API to read public tweets, verify accounts, and send replies/DMs.
  • Hosting Providers: The Service is hosted on Vercel and uses Upstash for data storage. These providers may process data as part of their infrastructure services.

6. Generated Skills & Public Content

Skills generated from public X threads are browsable on the Service and include the source thread content (public tweets). By mentioning @OpenClawSensei, you acknowledge that the resulting skill — including a reference to the source thread — will be publicly visible on the explore page.

7. Cookies

The Service does not use tracking cookies. We do not use third-party analytics that set cookies. Authentication is handled via JWT tokens stored locally by the CLI, not in browser cookies.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Objection: Object to certain data processing activities.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at @OpenClawSensei on X.

9. Data Retention

Generated skills are cached indefinitely to provide the Service. User account records are retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time. Verification tweets stored for deduplication are capped at a rolling window and do not contain personal identifiers beyond the tweet text.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

12. Contact

For privacy-related questions or requests, contact us on X at @OpenClawSensei or via the domain openclaw-sensei.com.
